The Sims gives players the power to control the lives and relationships of a neighborhood of their own simulated people, known as "Sims." First, players give their Sims a unique appearance and personality. Players can create any imaginable character, maybe a sloppy jock, a shy bookworm, a playful child or a grumpy couch potato. Or they can recreate themselves, their friends and family. Players then move their Sims into a pre-built home or they can build their own from the ground up using the game's powerful architect mode. Sims can fend for themselves, they won't just stand around waiting for the player's commands, but they live a much more interesting life with direction. Players can help their Sims find a job and then send them off to work to make money. Then they can take that money and buy furnishings for the house or build an addition. To be happy, Sims must maintain relationships with other Sims and have time for recreation. Players can instruct their Sims to throw a pool party, find romance or shoot hoops with the kids in the backyard. The fate of a player's Sims, for better or worse, rests in the player's hands. As a simulation, there is no way to win The Sims. Players can force their Sims into a life of crime or help them live life in the fast lane. Build them a sprawling mansion or dump them into a dilapidated shack. Let them party like swinging singles or fall in love and experience the joys of parenthood. The game is like a sandbox where players can experiment, set their own goals and develop their own stories. There is currently a Sims 1 including 7 Expansion Packs and a Sims 2 with more advanced Sims which has 8 full expansions, and 10 Stuff packs.

(By the way I have a hack in my game that allows unlimited sims in a household, I also don't age my sims past adulthood, I have InTeenimater, and my families tend to have lots of children so my other families have good-looking people to meet/marry ;D)
This was my first large family. They are currently spread out in three houses, but I haven't played them in a while so I can't remember much to tell you about them xD
The family originally. Corine is from John Cameron/Victoria (who also went on to have Kevin & Matt), Taegan is from Noelle Despret/Logan (who eventually had another kid, Laura), Roman, Jory, and Bianca are Victoria/Logan's.
Bianca is married and now lives in her own house with 6 kids, Jory (1 kid) and Roman (3 kids) are both married. And I'm pretty certain that Taegan and Corine died.
This was actually a family I downloaded and I never really played them. But I put them here because the family has a bunch of children who ultimately married into/had children with my other families
A two house family of mine, daughter, Jillian, of the original house moved out and married a boy from the James family, they had 9 kids. Jillian's parents have 4 other kids.
The only family of mine who isn't related to any other family xD I created the biggest lot and built three separte houses on it (I wanted to keep the family on the whole lot, otherwise I tend not to play with the other half of a family if they are on a different lot). Anyway I had David (married, 10 kids) and Josephine (married, 11 kids) in two of the houses, and one of Josephine's daughters, Billy (married, 3 kids), in the third house
This is my only family that I play that has pets in it. They started with 2 dogs and a cat, and now they have like 4 dogs and three cats. The two adults, Mark and Chantal have 6 kids, two of them are not Mark's (Mark also has children with other people in the neighborhood as well though).

Originally this was a family I made to have people in the neighborhood. Like I make a few 2/3 sim family of adults, put them on the same lot, and then my main families can meet them, rather than being friends with ugly townies xD One of the male sims I made married into another family, leaving one more male sim and four female sims. In the end I made the male sim, Mark Deschanel have 4 wives xD With his wives, Mark has a total of 30 children (he also has a few more children with others in the neighborhood).

My newest family is the Spitzig family. I started out in a different family (the Gavigan's) they lived in an apartment in which I moved Kaylynn Spitzig into as their roomate. The husband then had an affair with Kaylyn (xD) And long story short, she ended up pregnant and then ran off with her child and Gavigan's two daughters (..don't ask..). She had the romance aspiration so I basically made her sleep around alot (14 guys total), and she ended up having children with 10 of those guys. The last sim, John Burb (whose wife recently died) ended up marrying Kaylynn and they had a bunch of kids (13).
In the end Kaylynn had a total of 26 children.
So far I have branched out her family to two more houses: 1. Her daughter Lola married some guy and currently has 4 kids.
2. Her daughter Penny (whose father is Mark Klassen) is a lesbian and fell in love with John Burb's daughter, Lucy (NO they aren't related), and they moved out together. They adopted 3 kids and had 6 of their own (using hacks of course). Then their friend from another family of mine moved in with them, Kesia Caine. They sort of had a three-partner relationship and Kesia had 2 kids with Penny and 3 with Lucy. Then for some reason Kesia and Lucy & Penny's son, Logan, hit it off so I had them get married. They had 1 kid then Kesia cheated on Logan and had a child. Since he was at school at the time, their relationship remained intact, then they went on to have 4 more kids. Kesia had another affair with a sim I created, Brad Hughes, Logan caught them, they got a divorce, and then Kesia married Brad. Currently they have no children. So thats their whole life in a nutshell xD

And the family portrait. I labelled everyone for you :D (except the babies). Black are the adults/parents, Blue are Penny & Lucy's children, Red are Kesia's children.
Also if you look closely you'll notice that the adults at the back are all holding a baby, Matthew (Penny), Christa (Lucy), Danhia (Kesia), and Bradley (Brad). Danhia is Kesia's (and Logan's), the other 3 are Lucy & Penny's.

One of my sims was struck by lightning. I thought it was cool because when sims die of other things they just turn into a tombstone (or ashes if the die of fire) and I've never seen this one before.
