Welcome to my mini-review page. As I watch movies/anime/tv shows I will write a quick review, usually whether or not I think it is worth checking out. Sometimes I'll write a bit more, just depends how I feel about the show ;D
Listed aphabetically.

Anime is on a different page because I will eventually review every anime show I've ever watched. Movies and TV Shows on the other hand will be reviewed as I watch them or when I feel like "reviewing" them rather than reviewing every movie I've ever seen, because if that were the case, this page would be EXTRAORDINARILY long. I myself own over 300 DVDs, and I don't own even remotely close to half of all the movies I've actually seen.

- Meh. Okay I guess, but kind of boring and pointless tbh. My first thought after watching was.. uhh so a bunch of tiny dolls are going to live ALL ALONE on Earth. Forever. They can't reproduce or create more.. so whats the point really? I dunno. The story was a bit bland and there wasn't really a whole lot of character depth, plus a lot of things are left unexplained (like how the earth even ended up like that). On the other hand the animation was quite good, but that doesn't really make a movie worth watching.
17 Again
- I love Matthew Perry and I loved this movie and no I am not secretly in love with Zac Efron who I could actually care less about, I went to see it because of Matthew Perry. Not to say Zac didn't do a good job, because he did. I quite enjoyed this movie and would recommend it to anyone who loves Zac, Matthew, and just something fun to watch ;D
10,000 BC
- Good. You have to suspend belief a bit, but I was quite happy with it. I was expecting it to be more.. epic, like Apocalypto, it wasn't, but it was still worth it. I was looking around the IMDB boards after I watched it and it amzes me how much people can complain. Most of it was about historical inaccuracy (which is why I mentioned you would have to suspend some belief). These people annoy me though. Its not fucking supposed to be 100% historically accurate so get over yourselves. Seriously. No one is claiming that in 10,000 BC things were EXACTLY like that. Its a goddamn movie.
A Far Off Place
- This was a nice movie, the main boy, Harry really annoyed the crap out of me though.
Amazing Grace
- This is another movie I saw quite a while ago. I don't remember liking it quite as much as the previous movie or maybe I liked it more. Lol. But anyway I think I liked it well enough, it's probably worth a watch (or a second one in my case ;D .. IMDB has a good review for it.)
Angels and Demons
- Although I liked the first one better, I still enjoyed this one almost as much and I would definately recommend it ^^
Avatar
- BLOODY AMAZING. I saw it in 3D and OMG. I loved the characters, the plot, the music, the scenery, everything about it. I was looking on the IMDB boards after I saw it and people were saying that it was only good because of the 3D and the plot was simple and practically non-existant. And my first thought to that was did you watch the movie? You have to be able to see the deeper messages and themes behind it all, and I did not think the movie was "simple" at all. Plus I saw it in 2D a week or so after and I loved it just as much. 3D added to the movie, but it's not what made it amazing.
Awakenings
- Great movie, very well done. I love movies that show actor versatility, Robin Williams does and excellent job and proves that he is much more than just a comedy actor. Of course all of the actors did an excellent job ;D The ending wasn't a happy one but its based off a true story so you what do you expect? I watched this for a psych class, I had to write an essay on it.
Baby Mama
- Alright, kind of predictable, but I would recommend it if you just want something light and cute to watch.
Balto 1/2/3
- Loved the first one, the sequels were good for sequels, but obviously not as good as the original ;D
Blade 1-3
- Another set of movies I'm surprised I never watched a long time ago. I enjoyed all of them. Body of Lies
- I liked this one too, I would recommend it.
Bride Wars
- I liked this movie and I'd recommend it. Pretty unrealistic though but funny ;D
Butterfly Effect
- I thought I had seen this before because I could remember one scene (when Evan goes back again and whats-her-name is a prostitute) really well (mainly her telling him [sarcastically] that he did an awesome job fixing things). Anyways, so I thought I had seen it but yet I couldn't remember ANYTHING else xD As I rewatched it though I realized I had seen it before. But I liked it so it was worth the rewatch ^^
Cars
- Excellent Disney movie as usual <3
Changeling
- Not bad. Worth watching I'd say.
City of Ember
- I loved this movie <3 and I love Saoirse Ronan, I think she is a great actress. If you like things like Stardust, or Inkheart, you'd probably enjoy this as well
Close Encounters of the Third Kind
- I loved this movie. An oldie but definately a goodie :P Some people thought it was pointless and didn't have a plot, but it was so much more. Its not like other alien movies where the aliens come and try to conquer Earth but thats what made it good. It wasn't about the end or a main objective, it was about the journey, understanding, communication and acceptance. I thought it was brilliant.
Couples Retreat
- Quite funny and enjoyable :D I'm quite picky when it comes to comedy movies, as I may have said before I'm not one for crude/obnoxious humor. This movie wasn't so bad and even I enjoyed it.
Crank 1/2
- The first one was better and had some funny parts, but neither were by all means that great. The second one isn't worth watching.
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
- Ugh. No. I had to watch this movie in 3 parts over 3 days because I could not sit and watch it all at once. I found it very boring.
The Da Vinci Code
- For some reason when this came out I had no interest in watching it and I have no idea why. But I finally watched it and I thought it was pretty good. I like those type of movies (reminded me a bit of National Treasure). Some of the dialogue was umm.. awkward or something but yeah.
Death Defying Acts
- Kind of pointless but it was alright. I like Saoirse Ronan though, she was good in Atonement (which I loved ^^)
Don Juan De Marco
- Meh. Alright movie, although I lean more to the dislike side of movies with ambiguous endings xD
Duplicity
- I love Julia Roberts, Clive Owen I don't think has a huge acting range, but thats beside the point. The flashbacks were a bit annoying at times, their repetitive little conversation like they didn't know each other was annoying, but other than that it wasn't too bad. Sort of worth watching xD Another one I wouldn't go out of my way to go see but worth the time if say your at a friends and they want to watch it.
Echelon Conspiracy
- Not my favorite, definately a cheaper Eagle Eye. Although I love "A Walk to Remember" and Shane West in that, I can't say I loved his performance in this movie. He wasn't bad, just average which I guess is how I would describe the movie. It has flaws of course, but not a huge waste of time to watch.
The Edge of Love
- I actually liked this movie, I thought it was quite good. Plus Keira Knightley is another favorite actress of mine.
Everybody's Fine
- I expected something different going into this movie and although it wasn't what I thought, it was still amazing, but definately sad. Certainly worth watching.
Forgetting Sarah Marshall
- Meh, average at best. I'm not usually one for more crude, obnoxious comedy to be honest so this one wasn't my favorite. But I know a lot of people do like that type of thing so if you're one of them you'll probably enjoy this.
The Forgotten
- I think I saw this movie when it came out, it seemed vaguely familiar. But anyway I did like it and I would recommend it but only if you like thrillers and aliens. The acting was good, however it does have some flaws and plot holes, but imo its worth an hour and a half. Flightplan was similar although more "realistic", however if I remember correctly Jodie Foster kind of annoyed me in that movie. I always hate watching thrillers alone, it's odd, I can better handle a horror movie by myself xD I think its the combination of creepy music and the occasional surprising scene being worse than something scary thats ongoing? Who knows.
Get Smarts Bruce and Llyod
- Not as good as the first, but alright if you have nothing better to do.
Ghosts of Girlfriends Past
- Another actress I love, Jennifer Garner (Matthew McConaughey isn't my favorite but still), I enjoyed the movie, a nice, fun, cute, romantic comedy. By no means absolutely amazing or a classic but I would definately recommend it to others
The Gift
- Kind of creepy at times, but interesting.
G.I. Joe
- Pretty good and recommended, but definately a mindless action movie, not that there wasn't a plot or anything, but its not a thinking movie ;D
Glory Road
- Another good movie.
He's Just Not Ihe Into You
- I quite liked this. A very cute romantic comedy. I would watch it again.
Ice Age 3
- I wasn't disappointed with Ice Age 2 and I'm not disappointed with the third one. Worth watching.
Inglorious Basterds
- Good movie, had some pretty good funny moments...can't really think of much else to say. Quentin Tarantino did an excellent job.
Inkheart
- I very much enjoyed this movie, just the genre I love <3 One of my friends is definately not a fan of Brendan Fraser so she probably wouldn't have been able to watch the movie, but I quite like him ;D Paul Bettany as Dustfinger was awesome, by far my favorite character (haven't read the books so I couldn't tell you if he was good in comparison to them however), and I would recommend it ^^
Joseph King of Dreams
- The Prince of Egypt is one of my favorite films, this one is still quite good and I will probably watch it again.
Knowing
- Alright movie, started out better than it ended (not sure I can say I liked the ending actually..), although if you love sci-fi you might as well watch it just so you've watched it. Although if you REALLY love sci-fi this might be a little cringe-worthy by the end.
Let the Right One in
- I heard from.. someone, can't remember now, that this was an amazing movie. And they were right, it was artistic, intelligent, and fantastical. The writing was excellent and the actors superb, but if you are a person that cannot sit for hours watching a slow paced movie, or you want a movie that you don't really have to watch (like an action movie) then this is not for you. Otherwise you'll probably get bored and think its kind of weird and creepy (which my friend reported to me after I recommended she watch it xD)
Love Happens
- A nice romance movie thats worth your time, I enjoyed it.
Monsters vs. Aliens
- This was a good movie, definite recommendation :D
New in Town
- Again a cute romantic comedy, not as good as the previous movie but, if you're bored, I say why not?
The New World
- The first time I watched this I believe I got bored a quarter of the way through and then did other things as it played in the background. Upon coming across it again I rewatched it and I really enjoyed it. It is definately slower (and LONG) and like the previous movie, it is not for a person who would rather watch a mindless action or comedy movie, but it is worth watching. The scenery and music were beautiful and the acting was excellent, but I think most people will either love it or you won't.
Next
- I liked it. It was by no means an absolutely amazing movie but I thought it was good, it was certainly a neat idea.
Night at the Museum 2
- The first one was better, but thats normally expected. This one was still good however, I actually enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Only one thing bothered me. I can suspend belief that a magic tablet allows things to come to life, because that is the POINT of the movie.. however unlike the first movie there wasn't any mention of consequences for destruction that occured during the night. I mean they fly a plane though a huge stained glass window and destroy many other things, but yet there wasn't even a quick news clip of all the destruction. Also someone on IMDB mentioned that around that area there is normally people around, even at night, and although I've never been to the Smithsonian (or Washington for that matter), even I thought the fact that NO ONE noticed planes flying about or a giant Abraham Lincoln walking around or a squid swimming out in the open was a bit unbelievable.
Obsessed
- I thought this movie was pretty stupid. I wouldn't bother with it.
Outlander
- I thought this was a good movie, the idea was wonderful and the way they combined the Iron Age with sci-fi was well done. Some of the acting wasn't top notch but definately still watchable and I would recommend it.
Pineapple Express
- MOST hilarious fucking thing ever xD I loved it<3
Porco Rosso
- Miyazaki does an excellent job once again and like all of his movies I LOVED this one <33
Possession
- Meh. It was okay, a little predictable and pointless, but still an alright movie xD
The Princess and the Frog
- Once again another Disney movie, and what can I say, I loved it :D To be honest though, when I saw the preview I thought the girl was actually a princess, I didn't expect the movie to take place in New Orleans. And I found their love to be a bit rushed, it didn't seem to develop as it should have. Not sure how to explain it.. the prince's cues and glances were all correct, and it was obvious he was falling in love with her, but she was a bit off. I dunno. Still an excellent movie <3
The Proposal
- Freaking hilarious! Definately need to watch this.
Public Enemies
- I love Johnny Depp, and the movie was great. Maybe a little slow. I remember my friend and I coming out of the theatre and she asked me "Wasn't that supposed to be an action movie" and I was like.. "It was..wasn't it?" We had to think about it for a second to realize that there was a lot of action in it.. I mean they rob several banks and theres a car chase for gods sake. But when you finish it you don't get the same action thrill after watching it like other action movies. I'd still recommend it though :D
The Secret of Moonacre
- Another more "childish" fantasy movie that I enjoyed greatly, as I said before, if you enjoyed movies like Inkheart, Stardust, City of Ember, you'd probably like this.
Sherlock Holmes
- LOVED this, Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law were awesome and so was the movie. A+ for sure. My friend found the slow motion sequences a bit annoying, but I liked them. They only do them a couple times so definately not a movie-wrecker and definately recommended!
Smart People
- Boring. I mean I suppose the movie was okay.. nah.. it was just boring. Reminded me a little of Wonder Boys, but that was much better imo. Plus Sarah Jessica Parker annoys me about 90% of the time and Dennis Quaid really bothered me in this role. I like Ellen Page. I think she does that type of character pretty well.
Star Trek
- awesome, so watch it :P
Surrogates
- Good movie, I'd recommend a watch. I feel like I had something else to say on it, but I haven't watched it in a while so I can't remember what it was..
Sweeney Todd
- I liked it.. but I didn't. I don't mind seeing blood and gore and what not (I want to be a doctor after all), but for some reason all the massive killing and spurting blood just kind of annoyed me or something :/
The Taking of Pelham 123
- Loved this movie, definately recommended.
The Tale of Despereaux
- I usually don't go into a movie with expectations, but a friend told me this was a great movie, so I did. I was a bit disappointed. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't my favorite and there were a few things that seemed weird and out-of-place. The characters were cute and the idea was good. Emma Watson did a good job as a voice actor although the princess (who she played) kind of annoyed me.. although I'm not sure how to describe why.. just the way she was written I suppose, or the voice didn't really match the character. Anyway if you come across it and have some time you might as well watch it, although I wouldn't go out of my way to find it and watch it, y'know?
The Time Travellers Wife
- Amazing movie and very sad. The time jumping was handled well, sometimes in movies with lots of time travel or lots of flashbacks, things can get confusing, but I found this movie to be very coherent. So if you like sad romantic dramas, I definately recommend this.
Tinkerbell & Lost Treasure
- More Disney :D I wasn't actually expecting to like this movie, I figured it would just be another average sequel. I was pleasantly surprised, I was quite happy with this movie.
Transformers 2
- Much like the first, maybe not quite as good, but worth your time, especially if you enjoyed the first one.
Transporter 1/2/3
- I liked all of them ^^
Tropic Thunder
- Loved this one also, I thought Pineapple Express was better though ;D
The Ugly Truth
- Nice, fun romantic comedy. Funny and enjoyable. I would recommend it.
Underworld 1-3
- I cannot believe I never saw these until now. I LOVED them! All three were excellent movies and I can't wait for the 4th one!
UP
- I'm a bit biased because I am a HUGE disney fan and tend to love almost everything they come out with (except for a few sequels they insisted on creating >.>) but anyway, regardless I still think its worth watching even if you aren't a huge disney fan.
Vanity Fair
- I'm a huge fan of movies set in this time period and although I can't really say much on specifics because its been months since I saw it, I do remember liking this movie and I would certainly recommend it to others.
Vantage Point
- Started out alright, but then it just got annoying and pointless.
Whip It
- Loved this move :D
Wild Hogs
- By no means an amzing classic, but definately funny and worth a watch.

TV SHOWS
Firefly/Serenity
- Watched the 14 episodes and movie and I LOVED it. But I'm a big Joss Whedon fan so thats no surprise <33
Gossip Girl
- Finished the first 3 seasons of this recently. Lets see, several of the characters annoy me, some of the actors themselves annoy me, everyone is so fucking dumb, and they have the same goddam fights over and over. Season 1 I watched because their stupidity amused me. Season 2 and 3 I watched because somehow regardless of how dumb I find this show I was somehow kept intrigued and I started to warm up to it..and I will continue watching season 4 and on mainly because I'm one of those people that has to know what happens, regardless of whether or not I actually like the show.
Tru Calling
- At first I didn't really like Eliza Dushku when I saw her in Buffy (and Bring it on), but I like her the more I watch her. Like on Dollhouse for example (which I love, but again big surprise SO happy they didn't cancel it). Anyway so I figured I'd check out this show she was in a few years ago (it was cancelled part way through the second season), and I really liked it. I sort of wish they hadn't cancelled it D: Luckily I found out on one of the writer's blogs what would have happened if they had continued, so thankfully I wasn't left completely hanging.

OTHER
Born of Hope (Online Movie)
- This was pretty well done for such a low budget movie, and considering none of the actors were paid. I dunno if it was just the copy I had, but none of the Elvish was translated, which annoyed me. And not all the acting was excellent but it wasn't too bad.
The Hunt for Gollum (Online Movie)
- Now this one on the other hand... The actors didn't even feel right, at least in Born of Hope they felt right. For example, Arathorn I could actually see as being Aragorn's father, but in this movie.. the actor who played Aragorn didn't seem right at all, they definately should have found someone that looked more like him (from LotR). It has nothing to do with the actor themselves, but how the actor carries the character. When it came to the Batman movies, always a new actor, it was fine because they all played the character correctly even if they added in their own style, they still all fit to the role, but something about the Aragorn in this film did not, plus his eyes were like crazy blue and creepy :P To add, the actors weren't all that great and the movie was utterly pointless and contributed nothing to the overall LotR story.
